walls .

Some people have so many walls. It's truly very difficult to get through them. And many times, that's the only reason other people stay away. See a wall = build a wall = more walls. But what people don't seem to get is that a wall isn't just there blocking.....There are ways around them.

Some of us lean on these walls. Use them to guide us along the way. We can't see the way many others see, so we have to use these walls to go forward. We're a little slower than most.

People came and left. We couldn't trust them to stay. Building a wall would be easier. More...constant. So we could lean on it when we were tired.

As we traveled along the unmapped paths of life, we built these walls, creating mazes in the process. Now even we don't know how to get out. We can only trust that others will chance upon us.

But even if that did happen occasionally, it would be brief. We weren't any more used to it, the sight, smell, encounters of strangers. It was all new, all over again. But that fear and foreignness was never new. Those things were always there to make it new, all over again.

We're too complicated, it seems. 'It's too confusing to go through the maze without a map to find them. I could get lost. Too much time. Leave them, they'll find their way. Someday.'

We hope so too. We really hope so too.
